Description/Abstract:
This body of work was made for a commission from Photoaumnales in Beauvais, France. The work includes 25 colour images which are a mix of large format analogue and medium format digital with many of the images shot over a period of time (2 - 6 hours) and digitally joined to create a new reality questioning notions of truth embedded in documentary practices.
Loisirs extends my interest in the leisure industry as a fundamental part of contemporary society. It also explores the theatrical aspect of leisure sites and how we perform within them.
The work was produced as an exhibition and publication with an essay by Professor Val Williams.
