Description/Abstract:

Nasturtiums is a sequence of meditative prose pieces, poems, and sumi ink studies of flowers, responding to histories of decorative arts and amateur painters. Commissioned by Museums Press and published as a set of risograph plates, the six illustrations describe the process of learning from observation, as detailed botanical illustrations give way to looser ‘pattern’ like representations of flora, growing in a north London windowbox.
